Welcome to the Bible Manuscript Society!

The Bible Manuscript Society has made available a superb collection of resources to help you understand and appreciate the history of how the Bible has been preserved down through the centuries, from the early days when books of the Bible were written on scrolls, papyrus documents, then handwritten manuscripts or codices (books), through the invention of the Printing Press, through to modern translations today.

We provide articles for you to read, but we highly recommend that you watch the videos as well, because these provide further explanation, pictures and demonstrations that cannot be reproduced with text on a web page. We often provide additional resources for you to download, giving further background information to the articles. We also have a Bible Shop where you can purchase specialist resources related to the Bible.
